Golden Garlic-Parmesan Crispy Potato Rounds (Air Fryer)

These Golden Garlic-Parmesan Crispy Potato Rounds are the perfect snack or side dish—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and coated in buttery garlic with a rich parmesan finish. They taste like restaurant-style potatoes but are super easy in the air fryer!

Perfect for parties, burgers, or even a quick evening snack.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Soaking Time (optional but best): 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 18–22 minutes

Total Time: 30–35 minutes

Ingredients

3 large potatoes (washed, unpeeled or peeled)

2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika (optional for color & flavor)

1 tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Slice the Potatoes

Cut potatoes into 1/4 inch thick round slices for even cooking.

Optional tip: Soak slices in cold water for 20 minutes to remove excess starch (this makes them extra crispy). Then pat dry completely.

Season the Potatoes

In a large bowl, mix:

olive oil or melted butter

minced garlic

salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning

Add potato slices and toss well until fully coated.

Preheat Air Fryer

Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3–5 minutes.

Air Fry

Arrange potato slices in a single layer in the basket.

Cook at 190°C (375°F) for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway through.

They should turn:

golden brown

crispy edges

soft inside

Add Parmesan

In the last 2–3 minutes, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the potatoes and let it melt slightly and crisp up.

Serve

Remove and sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve hot and enjoy!

Tips for Extra Crispiness

Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket

Dry potatoes very well before seasoning

Use butter for richer flavor, oil for lighter crisp

Add extra Parmesan after cooking for stronger cheesy flavor
