A crispy, cheesy, cafe-style breakfast made easily in the air fryer! Perfect for busy mornings and ready in minutes.

Ingredients (Serves 2):

  • 2 slices thick bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chili flakes, garlic powder, onion powder

Instructions to Prepare:

Step 1: Prepare the Bread
Lightly flatten the center of each bread slice using a spoon.
Spread butter or olive oil on the bread edges.

Step 2: Add Cheese
Sprinkle cheese around the edges and slightly in the center.
This creates a crispy cheesy crust.

Step 3: Crack the Eggs
Carefully crack one egg into the center of each bread slice.
Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and optional seasonings.

Step 4: Air Fry
Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 2–3 minutes.
Place toast carefully in the basket.
Cook for 6–9 minutes depending on how runny or firm you like the yolk.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve
Top with fresh parsley or coriander.
Serve hot with tea, coffee, or fresh juice.

Best Practices:

Use thick bread so the egg doesn’t spill.
Preheat the air fryer for even cooking.
Don’t overcrowd the basket.
Check after 6 minutes to avoid overcooking the yolk.
Add cheese underneath the egg for extra flavor.

Delicious Variations:

1. Spicy Version
Add chili flakes and jalapeños.

2. Garlic Butter Toast
Mix garlic powder into melted butter before spreading.

3. Healthy Veggie Style
Add spinach, tomatoes, onions, or mushrooms.

4. Protein Boost
Add cooked chicken, turkey slices, or sausage bits.

5. Creamy Breakfast Style
Add cream cheese or feta.

Pro Tips:

For runny yolks: cook 6–7 minutes.
For firm yolks: cook 8–9 minutes.
Use parchment paper with holes for easy cleanup.
Spray a little oil on top for a golden finish.
Fresh herbs added after cooking taste best.
