Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tbsp cocoa powder

2 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

1 egg

¾ cup milk

2 tbsp melted butter or oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ cup chocolate chips

 Instructions:

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, beat the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-low heat and lightly grease it.

Pour about ¼ cup batter onto the pan for each pancake.

Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set, about 2–3 minutes.

Flip carefully and cook the other side for another 1–2 minutes until fluffy and cooked through.

Stack the pancakes and serve warm with syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, or melted chocolate.

 Tips:

Cook on medium-low heat for extra fluffy pancakes.

Let the batter rest for 5 minutes before cooking for a softer texture.

Add banana slices or nuts for extra flavor.

Serve immediately while warm and fluffy.
