Ingredients
For the Garlic Butter
¼ cup garlic confit (soft garlic cloves, no oil)
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
½ teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
1–2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
For Assembly
1 loaf sourdough bread
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Garlic Butter
In a medium bowl, combine the garlic confit, softened butter, chili flakes, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley.
Mix until smooth and fully combined.
Step 2: Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Slice the sourdough loaf in half lengthwise.
Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over both halves of the bread.
Step 3: Add the Cheese
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the garlic butter.
Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Step 4: Bake
Place the bread on a baking tray and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
For a golden, crispy top, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end. Watch carefully to prevent burning.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with extra chopped parsley and a light pinch of chili flakes.
Slice and serve warm.
