  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream (or milk for lighter version)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella (or cheddar)
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta (optional, for Mediterranean touch)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

For the pastry:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

1. Prepare the filling

  • Heat olive oil in a pan.
  • Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
  • Add spinach and cook until wilted (or heated through if frozen).
  • Lower heat and mix in cream cheese, cream, mozzarella, and feta.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  • Cook until creamy and thick. Let it cool completely.

2. Prepare the puff pastry

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F)
  • Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into squares (about 3–4 inches each).

3. Assemble

  • Add 1–2 tbsp filling in the center of each square.
  • Fold into rectangles or triangles and seal edges (use a fork if needed).

4. Bake

  • Place on a lined baking tray.
  • Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
