🥨 Yorkshire Pudding in the Air Fryer

Crispy • Light • Classic British Side

Makes: 4–6 puddings

Time: 15 minutes


🧾 Ingredients

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup milk (room temperature)

  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 2–3 tbsp beef drippings, vegetable oil, or sunflower oil


🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Batter

  • In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk until smooth

  • Add flour and salt

  • Whisk until lump-free (thin pancake batter consistency)

  • Rest batter 15–30 minutes (important for rise)


2️⃣ Preheat Air Fryer

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F / 200°C for 5 minutes

  • Place a muffin tin or heat-safe ramekins inside

  • Add ½ tsp oil to each cup

  • Heat until oil is very hot and smoking


3️⃣ Fill & Cook

  • Carefully remove hot tin

  • Pour batter into each cup (fill ½ full only)

  • Return to air fryer

👉 Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes

⚠️ Do NOT open air fryer while cooking


4️⃣ Serve Immediately

  • Yorkshire puddings should be:

    • Tall

    • Golden brown

    • Crisp outside, airy inside

Serve straight away for best texture.

  • Batter + milk + eggs must be room temperature

  • Oil must be smoking hot

  • Do not overfill cups
