Easy Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients:
12 oz (340 g) fresh or frozen cranberries
¾ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
½ cup orange juice
½ cup water
1 teaspoon orange zest (optional for extra flavor)
A pinch of salt
Instructions:
Combine ingredients: In a medium saucepan, add cranberries, sugar, orange juice, water, orange zest, and salt.
Cook: Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Watch for popping: The cranberries will burst and the sauce will thicken naturally.
Cool: Remove from heat and let cool — it thickens more as it sits.
Serve: Chill in the fridge before serving, or serve warm with your favorite meal.
Serve With:
Perfect with roast turkey, chicken, pork, or even spread on toast or yogurt.
Tips:
For a richer flavor, add a cinnamon stick or splash of vanilla while simmering.
To make it sugar-free, use a natural sweetener like stevia or monk fruit.
Keeps up to 10 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen for up to 2 months.
