🧾 INGREDIENTS

  • 2 lb ground beef (80/20 is best)

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 cups shredded cheese
    (cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a mix)

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (optional but 🔥)

  • 1½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ½ tsp black pepper (optional)

  • 1 tbsp butter or beef tallow (for greasing)

👉 Strict carnivore: salt only
👉 Still carnivore-friendly: pepper allowed


🔥 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
    Grease a pie dish or baking dish with butter/tallow.

  2. Brown the beef

    • Cook ground beef in a skillet until just done

    • Season with salt

    • Drain excess fat only if excessive (leave some for flavor)

  3. Make the custard

    • In a bowl, whisk eggs + heavy cream

    • Stir in 1½ cups shredded cheese and Parmesan

  4. Assemble

    • Spread cooked beef evenly in the dish

    • Pour egg-cheese mixture over beef

    • Top with remaining ½ cup cheese

  5. Bake uncovered

    • 35–40 minutes

    • Center should be set and top golden

  6. Rest 10 minutes

    • This helps it slice clean and stay juicy
