⭐ Servings: 6–8
⏱ Total Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
-
2 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
-
8 large eggs
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella for milder flavor)
-
6–8 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
-
1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp garlic powder (optional carnivore-ish)
-
1 tsp onion powder (optional carnivore-ish)
-
Optional toppings: extra cheese, crumbled bacon, burger patties for decoration
Strict Carnivore Version: skip garlic & onion powder.
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the beef
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, season with salt & pepper.
-
Drain extra fat only if extremely greasy — keeping some fat adds flavor!
2️⃣ Build the casserole
-
Spread cooked beef evenly in a 9×13 casserole dish.
-
Sprinkle half the cheese over the beef.
3️⃣ Mix & pour
-
Whisk together eggs + heavy cream + remaining cheese + bacon + seasonings.
-
Pour mixture evenly over the ground beef in the dish.
4️⃣ Bake
-
Bake 25–30 minutes, or until the center is set and the top lightly golden.
-
Let rest 5 minutes before slicing — this helps it firm up.
