Banana Cream Biscuit Dessert Cups
Description
A creamy, layered dessert made with smooth vanilla custard, crushed biscuits (cookies), and fresh bananas. It’s chilled to perfection and topped with powdered sugar or crumbs for a soft, melt-in-the-mouth texture.

Makes 5–6 dessert cups
Ingredients
For the Cream Layer:
- 2 cups milk
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 egg yolk (optional, for richness)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 cup whipped cream (optional but recommended for extra fluffiness)
For Topping:
- Crushed biscuits
- Powdered sugar (dusting)

- In a saucepan, whisk milk, sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolk.
- Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
- Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla.
- Let it cool slightly (cover with plastic wrap touching the surface to avoid skin).
2. Prepare the Layers
- Crush biscuits into small chunks (not powder).
- Slice bananas evenly.
3. Assemble the Dessert
In each glass:
- Add a layer of crushed biscuits
- Add a layer of custard cream
- Add banana slices
- Repeat layers until the glass is full
- Finish with cream on top
4. Decorate
- Sprinkle crushed biscuits
- Dust with powdered sugar
5. Chill
Refrigerate for 2–3 hours before serving for best flavor.
Tips
- Use slightly ripe bananas for sweetness.
- Add a layer of whipped cream between layers for extra richness.
- For crunch, add chopped nuts.
- Don’t overcook custard—it thickens more as it cools.
- Serve chilled, not frozen.
Notes
- You can substitute bananas with strawberries or mango.
- Egg yolk is optional but adds creaminess.
- Use any biscuits you like (vanilla wafers work great).
