🥩 Carnivore Butter Ribeye Steak (Strict-Friendly)
Ingredients

1 large ribeye steak, bone-in

Salt to taste
-
1 tbsp beef tallow (or ghee)

3 tbsp unsalted butter
Optional (non-strict carnivore):

¼ tsp garlic powder
Directions

Bring to Room Temp
Remove the ribeye from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking. -
Dry & Season
Pat the steak completely dry with paper towels. Season generously on both sides with salt. -
Heat the Pan
Heat a heavy cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add the beef tallow and let it get smoking hot. -
Sear
Place the steak in the pan and do not move it for 3–4 minutes until a deep brown crust forms. -
Flip & Lower Heat
Flip the steak, reduce heat to medium, and cook another 3–4 minutes. -
Butter Baste
Add butter (and garlic powder if using). Tilt the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steak continuously for 2–3 minutes. -
Rest
Remove steak from pan and let rest 5 minutes. -
Serve
Spoon the remaining butter over the steak and serve hot 😋
