Spinach and Cheese Puff Pastry Squares
Ingredients:
• 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
• 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
• ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
• ½ cup feta cheese (or cream cheese), crumbled
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 egg (for egg wash)
• Salt & black pepper, to taste
• ½ teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
• ½ teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Heat olive oil in a pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
3. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
4. Mix spinach with mozzarella, feta, salt, pepper, and seasoning.
5. Roll out puff pastry and cut into equal squares.
6. Spoon spinach-cheese filling into the center of each square.
7. Fold or leave open (your choice) and brush edges with beaten egg.
8. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden and puffed.
9. Cool slightly… then watch them disappear!
