  • ½ tsp black pepper (optional)

Cheese Layer

  • 2 cups shredded whole-milk mozzarella

  • 1 cup shredded provolone or cheddar

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan

Pizza Flavor

  • 1 cup sugar-free marinara (optional — skip for strict carnivore)

  • 1½–2 cups sliced beef or pork pepperoni (check for zero sugar)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

Creamy Binding (optional but amazing)

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup heavy cream or softened cream cheese

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or beef tallow.

  2. Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.
Season with salt (and pepper if using).
Drain excess fat but keep a little for flavor.

  3. Make it creamy (optional step)
In a bowl, whisk eggs with heavy cream or cream cheese until smooth.
Mix this into the cooked beef for a soft, lasagna-style texture.

  4. Assemble the casserole

    • Spread beef mixture evenly in baking dish

    • Add marinara only if using

    • Sprinkle half of the cheeses

    • Layer on pepperoni generously

    • Top with remaining cheese and extra pepperoni

  5. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes
Until bubbly, golden, and slightly crispy on top.

  6. Rest & serve
Let sit 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Serve hot with extra melted cheese on top.
